This is a quirky old hotel that is full of charm and history! Each of the rooms are completely different and lovely in their own way. The grounds are very pretty to either just sit down and look at or walk around. They have a bar in the oldest part of the building which is charming. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast This is a great option when visiting Otavalo.

This place is very interesting. We had never been to a hacienda before. The hosts were excellent and had a informative meet and greet in the old tack room. They gave a history of the hacienda and had local entertainment for all the guest to enjoy. Our room was huge. Largest one we have every stayed in. Very comfortable and we were able to have a nice fire during the evening. However, it was in a large sitting room off the bedroom and the small space heater was not sufficient to warm the sleeping area. It being November, it was a little chilly during the evening if you had to get out from the warm bed. Very nice dinner in their restaurant..

History, beauty and above all outstanding service, this is Hacienda Pinsaqui. If you want somewhere where you are treated like a treasured friend, you cannot beat Pinsaqui. Just outside Otavalo and conveniently located on the way to Cotocachi (well worth a visit) and Lake Cuicocha, the hotel is beautiful with good food and lots of attention to detail. There is an air of slightly faded glamour about the place, but this only adds to the sense of history (Simon Bolivar is reputed to have stayed here) - and everything from the fireplaces in the room to the smiling, ever polite staff makes this a great place to stay

Staying here was one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Ecuador for my kids. It was such a unique stay and an overall great experience. We stayed in a large room right in the main building. I was a little worried we would be chilly but between the fire place and hot water bottles they put in your bed, it was actually quite cozy. The bar area was very charming and we enjoyed having a drink down there as the band played. Breakfast was good, both ambience wise and food wise - plenty of options to eat and the staff never stopped moving to ensure we were taken care of. Finally, the highlight was the horseback riding trip. It was so beautiful, and unlike a typical basic horse back ride in the states. This one was off the beaten path and in true backcountry Ecuador. The views were incredible and it was unlike any horseback riding my family has done (we don’t do a ton, but have done a bit). It was just such an authentic Ecuadorian experience and was so reasonably priced as well.

We are a couple who stayed at Hacienda Pinsaqui in our travels through Ecuador. Consider the highlands for the beautiful landscape and rich indigenous culture. Upon arriving at Hacienda Pinsaqui, we were greeted at the entrance personally and shown the amazing hacienda. Our stay coincided with my husband’s birthday ….. so after many e mails, Andres was kind enough to arrange a series of surprises. These included ; a couples massage, an indigenous musical group serenade and an amazing private room with an elegant and delicious birthday dinner. The service was professional and impeccable. We appreciated the hot water bottles placed in our beds as we visited in winter. The breakfast was delicious and varied. We hope to return to Hacienda Pinsaqui when we visit Ecuador in the future! Please consider this unique and lovely place on your travels to ghost amazing country.

Definitely stay here if you are going to Otavalo. We enjoyed touring the grounds, the duck pond, and spotting horses nearby. There are beautiful historic rooms to explore, especially the equestrian bar! We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast here and enjoyed all of the offerings. Management and staff were very attentive and kind. We were surprised by how much we enjoyed this peaceful spot after a few noisy nights in Quito. Highly recommend!

The Hacienda Pinsaqui is a large estate turned into a hotel. The grounds are lovely. As the structure wasn't designed as a hotel, the bedrooms are a bit funky, but that added to the charm. The staff was very friendly.

I wish we had stayed here, but this ended up being a lunch stop on an unexpected extra day near Quito. Our group was greeted by a band and had a fantastic lunch here, before strolling the beautiful grounds. We would highly recommend a visit!

Stayed here with my partner for a rest in a trekking holiday, it was a well welcome break from the trails. The hotel itself is beautiful and filled with history, we were welcomed by the hotel manager with a music and a brief history of the site. The food here was fantastic, lots of options and everything very tasty. We tried the famous Ecuadorian Guinea Pig here which was also beautifully presented. I would defiantly stay here again if I return to Ecuador.

Excelente servicio. Excelente comida y sobretodo excelente ambiente de hacienda. La experiencia en Pinsaqui es simplemente de otro nivel. Se nota que el personal disfruta de su trabajo lo cual se ve traducido en una excelente atención al cliente en todas sus áreas, en especial en el restaurante en donde la comida fue deliciosa. Al llegar te reciben con un peque?o evento musical con instrumentos de andinos. Te explican un poco sobre la rica historia de la hacienda, sumergiéndote en un ambiente lleno de magia. Recomendado 100%
